Love is Waiting-Ch3

I drove home as fast as the speed limit let me. I pulled into my driveway and jumped out of the car. I didn’t even bother to park the car in the garage. I unlocked my house door and bolted up to my room. Oh my gosh I only have and hour to get ready I kept thinking to myself. I jumped into the hot water and quickly took my shower. I dried my hair the best I could and walked into my bed room. I rummaged through my closet and finally found nice looking but comfortable pants and shirt. I slipped them over the matching set of black lace bra and underwear I had on. I put on some make-up then jolted down stairs to clean up a bit. It was nearly 6:40 and he still wasn’t here.
“He blew me off. He blew me off.” I said to myself over and over again. It was almost 11, and I was drifting off to the wonderful world of sleep when my door bell rang and took me quickly out of that. I lazily walked over to the door and opened it. Sure enough Jordan was standing there with a Chinese take out bag resting in one of his hands.
“I thought we agreed with 6:30?” I said looking past him at the snow that was now coming down heavily.
“Well you see…” I interrupted him.
“Well I see that you found another girl, right? I knew this would happen. I knew it was too good to be true, and I let myself fall into your little trap. Well that is never going to happen again. So just take your food and go eat it with your new girl.” I said with force in my voice. I tried to slam the door in his face, acting like I wasn’t hurt, but Jordan's steady hand held it open.
“Why did you jump to such drastic conclusions?” He asked. I could see the hurt in his eyes, but I just look past them into the snow again.
“Because I know it’s true.” I said softening my voice a little. I tried again to shut the door, but his steady hand once again stopped it.
“It’s not true and it never will be, Emily. A couple of fans saw me and well you know the rest.” He said taking his hand off the door, setting the food at my feet, and turning to leave.
“Jordan?” I said sadly.
“Yes, Emily.” He replied stopping in his steps.
“Will you come in I can’t eat all this food alone?” I asked sensing a smile coming to Jordan’s face. He turned to face me with a huge smile on his face then ran to me. He slowed grabbed the food bag and then pushed open the door.
“It’s not expensive, probably like yours, but it’s home.” I said noticing him looking around.
“Not to shabby.” He said laughing as I led him into the kitchen. I punched him lightly in the arm as he pulled the food out of the bag. I grabbed my Chinese box and two of those sticks then walked into the living room and switched on the TV to the news. Jordan came in and sat on the couch listening to the TV. I sat down next to him and ate my food. The new kept caring on about money and other stuff I didn’t really pay attention to. I finished my food about 2 minutes after Jordan did then sat the empty box on the coffee table in front of me. I grabbed the blanket from behind the couch then cuddled into Jordan’s body. I traced his chest when I heard the weather man start to speak. I sat up a bit as I listened.
“It’s late. I should really be going.” He said interrupting my train of thought about what I was hearing from the TV.“You aren’t going anywhere, mister. You heard the weather man. He said to stay inside and not go outside at any cost unless it was an emergency.” I said walking over to the window and pulling the curtain back. The snow was coming down in buckets. It took one glimpse out the window to make him stay. I walked past him and grabbed the empty food boxes and threw them in the kitchen trash along with the bag they came in. I walked back into the living room to find Jordan snoring quietly on the coach. I looked up at the clock. It read 12:00. I grabbed the blanket I was using and covered up Jordan then walked up the stairs to my room. I took off most of my make-up then slipped into some sweats and crawled into bed. I was asleep within 3 minutes.
